A little bit about me

I thought I'd give you a little background info about myself so you know exactly who you are ordering from!

My name is Danielle and I first learnt how to knit when I was around 11 years old when a babysitter taught me one night. I didn't do it much in my teenage years but around 2014 I picked it back up and have been doing it daily ever since :) Covid hit - and the time when people loved to shop local kicked in and I was inundated with making people hats and even matching sets for children and family - which led me to try and make a go of doing this more regular and hopefully get a little shop up and running from it...

I love anything craft related and dedicated my whole conservatory to it - I do own a Passap E6000 knitting machine too which I do try and use regularly - but as it is super old - it's quite hard to get hold of information about it, parts ect so that's all being picked up as a I go along.

I love to knit and crochet depending on what type of garment I'm trying to make - I do not have a favourite... But I do have a favourite needle size though lol. If I could do anything It would probably be a knitted cardigan with 65% wool and 35% alpaca yarn but only in child sizes... I really do struggle to commit to such big WIPS.

I'm based in Nottingham and I try and source all my yarn from small independent shops before I venture into big chains. As you can imagine not all yarn is made in the UK - especially acrylic, but using smaller yarn shops is much better than ordering it in bulk from over seas! If you have a yarn preference or would like Vegan yarn - anything can be sourced and discussed before ordering - EVERYTHING can be customised.

I am available for commission pieces but I only take on a couple at a time to avoid overloading myself - I am only 1 person so I can only knit and crochet so fast! So please bare with me if you'd like to get on the list.

I'm available for Hats, Scarves, Shawls, newborn clothing, newborn booties, holiday outfits and even animal clothing - I will literally give anything a go! I absolutely refuse to do socks though... I just can't commit to socks - they drive me insane.
